Méthamis

The village is located at the foothills of the Mont Ventoux, making it an ideal base for climbing the summit. Het dorp Méthamis

Situated at the foot of the impressive Mont Ventoux, the village is close to some of France's most beautiful natural areas.

For adventurers, climbing the Mont Ventoux is an experience to never forget. This legendary mountain offers magnificent views and challenging routes for both experienced and novice cyclists and hikers.

One of the most popular attractions in the region is the Gorges de La Nesque. In this magnificent canyon, you can find a scenic road that offers you views of the surrounding landscape. A perfect place for a nice walk or a relaxing drive.

For hikers, the Dentelles de Montmirail is also a must-see destination. This mountain range offers several hiking trails with viewpoints of the surrounding area.

A short distance from our accommodation, you will find several sights worth visiting.

One of the highlights nearby is the Abbey of Sénanque, a beautiful Cistercian abbey from the 12th century still inhabited by monks. It is an impressive feat of medieval architecture and the view of the lavender fields from the abbey is truly breathtaking. Another abbey that is definitely worth a visit is the Abbey of Blauvac. 

Daarnaast zijn er ook tal van charmante dorpen in de buurt zoals Gordes, Isle sur la Sorgue, Ménerbes… Stuk voor stuk pittoreske dorpjes die beroemd zijn om hun prachtige architectuur en wekelijkse markten vol lokale lekkernijen. In de buurt ligt ook de historische stad Avignon, met een rijke geschiedenis en cultuur waaronder het Palais des Papes en de beroemde Pont d’Avignon.
